Stay where you celebrate

Built in 1728 for the Countess of Antrim

This gentleman’s residence was built in 1728 for the Countess of Antrim. The Georgian part of the house has been well maintained and was given Grade II listed status in the late 1970s; the gate lodge and gates are also listed.

The house has been painstakingly refurbished, and with Andrew’s background in interior design the interiors are sophisticated and elegant, but also comfortable and relaxing. Read the history of the house.

The wedding morning

Getting ready in a Georgian house

Couples and their bridal parties can still get ready in the house on the morning of the wedding from 7.30am (a fee of £450 applies), with morning light through the tall sash windows and the historic staircase as a backdrop for photographs.

On a day hire, you can still choose to retire to the house at the end of the night (an additional cost applies). No carriages are needed for you and yours: just slip upstairs to bed.
